JDE was hired to consult on The Orchard’s parking, reviewing architectural plans from SDG and considering the development’s layout, tenant mix, and usage. We performed a localized parking demand study, identified relevant parking regulations and overflow usage, and evaluated the feasibility of various technologies and a paid parking program. The challenge was balancing parking needs for multifamily, retail, and theater spaces. Our analysis led to recommendations for implementing a paid parking program and adopting new technologies.
